Why is Lifting and Manual Handling Training Important?

Prevents Injuries

The primary benefit of lifting and manual handling training is the prevention of injuries. By teaching your staff members the correct techniques for lifting and handling objects, you can minimise the risk of injury and help them avoid long-term health problems. Manual handling training benefits the individual and the company by reducing the risk of lost workdays and workers' compensation claims.

Increases Productivity

When your staff members are trained in the proper lifting and manual handling techniques, they can perform their tasks more efficiently. They will easily lift heavier objects, reducing the risk of injury and increasing their overall productivity. Manual handling training, in turn, can lead to increased profits for your business.

Enhances Job Satisfaction

When your staff members feel confident and comfortable performing their tasks, they are more likely to enjoy their work and feel satisfied. Training can lead to increased job satisfaction, which can help reduce staff turnover and improve the overall morale of your workplace.

Meets Legal Obligations

By providing lifting and manual handling training to your staff members, you are fulfilling your legal obligation to provide a safe working environment. Training can help protect your business from potential lawsuits and legal liabilities.
